The new Ysgol Y Grango vision has been derived from the work undertaken in developing the New Curriculum for Wales and our motto is “Inspiring ACTions – Fulfilling Lives: We Are, We Care, We Share”. This was constructed with input from all stakeholders, including the local community and employers, who know the area well and what they want and hope for the students of our school.
The vision also aligns with the National Mission and its 6 objectives with the aim of “achieving high standards and aspirations for all”. The symbol of our vision is the Stiwt Theatre and our values are ACT: Aspirational, Community and Transformational.

At Ysgol Y Grango all learners are required to be ready and prepared to ACT in accordance with their environment. ACT has a variety of meanings, which we want to inspire in our young people.
- To do or perform: academic studies, expressive arts and sport
- To make choices which will have a beneficial impact upon learners’ lives and wellbeing
- To undertake roles, responsibilities and challenges as part of their learning pathway
- To portray admirable characteristics, always behaving ethically and with integrity
