The governing body is a collection of people responsible for the strategic direction of our school.
The governing body comprises of the headteacher, staff, parents, community governors and governors appointed by the Local Authority. Governors carry out their duties voluntarily and complete training in order to effectively undertake their roles and responsibilities.
Governor Roles
Full Governor committee and subcommittee meetings are convened each term, focusing strategic priorities of the school. Operational day to day responsibility for the school is delegated to the Headteacher. A Governors term of office is four years in duration and subsequently individuals can be re-elected for further terms.
The Governing body have 3 core functions:
- Planning the strategic direction of the school.
- Overseeing financial performance of the school and ensuring money is well spent.
- Holding the school leadership to account for the standards attained
