Shrewsbury Prison
Twenty Eight Year 10 students visited Shrewsbury Prison to complement the ‘Crime and Punishment’ GCSE History Unit. Students were given a tour of the Gaol by an ex Prison officer. The prison was in operation from 1793 until its recent closure in 2013. Students learnt about the History of the building and the function of the different areas of the Gaol.
